Transportation Matters - Wednesday October 7th
TRANSPORTATION MATTERS
From lobstermen to brewers, Maine boasts a fabulously diverse collection of food providers and manufacturers. Portland sits in a unique position to harness this opportunity and has rapidly attracted culinary entrepreneurs to its burgeoning restaurant and wholesaling industries. Because of this, there is increasing and complex demand for reliable, efficient and affordable transportation of goods to local, regional and international markets.
In October of 2015, the Maine Port Authority (MPA) is launching its TRANSPORTATION MATTERS workshop series at O’Maine Media Kitchen in Portland. This event is part of a larger informational project created to facilitate connections between small businesses in Maine and service providers from the transportation industry. The MPA hopes that this series will help shippers uncover multi-modal avenues to reach a greater market, improve distribution and grow their businesses.
