CARGO PORTS

PORTLAND - Portland, located in southern Maine just 115 minutes north of Boston, stands as the state's largest city with the greatest population density and a burgeoning economic environment.  Known for fishing, manufacturing and agriculture, southern Maine's service industry has exploded over the last decade with Portland seeing an influx in fine dining, hospitality, cruise ships and international tourism.

SEARSPORTSearsport is located at the heart of Penobscot Bay. The port has recently undergone a major reconstruction effort positioning it to effectively serve the needs of shippers moving product both into and out of Maine, and through the onsite rail yard of the Montreal, Maine & Atlantic Railway, to provide service to the heartlands of both the US and Canada.

EASTPORTEastport is the easternmost port in the United States. It is nestled in a safe harbor behind Canada's Campobello Island. The waters of Passamaquoddy Bay and Cobscook Bay converge in Eastport generating some of the highest tidal ranges in the United States. This massive flow keeps the local waters clean and productive as Eastport is home to one of the largest salmon aquaculture operations in the US. Eastport is also centrally located to many of the State's forest products industries.
